“i am a woman, i am a man”

i am a woman, i am a man -
simultaneously, all the time.

"This is only for women, not for men"?
Have you the sword of Solomon
that will cleave me neatly in two?

i am the ugly little fact
ruining your beautiful dualisms;
ignore me, erase me, but
i exist, nevertheless, i move.

If people will not relinquish
their iron grip on dualism
for even such a little thing
no wonder they would prefer
to set humanity apart than accept
We are all a part of Life's rhizome.
